It is difficult to imagine being a poor. After sudden death of my father, mother had to take up the responsibility of our family. She worked hard as a daily wage labour to feed us. As we are three siblings it was getting tough to my mother to provide education to all three of us. I have decided to quit my studies after 10+2 and support my mother. It was a hot summer in 2019, I was moving around the town of Yellandu searching for Job where I found the Job awareness camp organized by CREDAI. I was told that CREDAI has started Placement Linked Skill Training to unemployed youth in Electrician and Plumbing courses. I have enrolled my name in “Assistant Electrician” course which was opposed by my family members and my neighbours. My vision was very clear so I have made my mind to go ahead with what I felt right. During the training, I have learnt several things, improved my communication, skills were enhanced. I have gained a lot of confidence which helped me in securing a job as “Electrician”at Dharani Constructions in Khammam. Iam happy to say that Iam earning a decent salary and I can support my mother, I can fulfill the dream of my mother to give a quality education to my brother and sister. I thank CREDAI for giving me an opportunity to learn and now an opportunity to earn.
